Successful candidates receive ICDL certification at ceremony in Rwanda

1,207 candidates from the Rwandan University of Tourism, Technology and Business Studies (UTB) received ICDL certificates at a graduation ceremony held at the Kigali Convention Centre in May, attended by ICDL Foundation CEO, Damien O’Sullivan.

Addressing attendees, Mr O’Sullivan noted that, while technology will always continue changing and evolving, innovations like artificial intelligence will never replace the contribution of human creativity. In addition to awarding ICDL certificates to successful candidates, three special awards were given for the youngest successful candidate, the oldest, and the best performing candidate.

UTB has delivered bachelor’s degrees to more than 4,600 students since 2008. Currently, the university has almost 6,000 students at their two campuses in Kigali and Rubavu.
