The ICDL Computing module has been received with great enthusiasm by private schools in Jordan. Responding to demand from schools, Specto, the ICDL National Operator in the country, delivered training in the module to 15 teachers from eight schools.
Schools that attended the course are already ICDL accredited schools and are considering endorsing the Computing module as part of their curriculum. All teachers completed the test successfully and are now ready to deliver the module to their students. Teachers believe that the skills covered in the module are suitable for students in grades 9 to 10.
Another Computing workshop will be held for more teachers in the break between the semesters. Specto is planning to carry on workshops for the rest of the new ICDL modules, such as Information Literacy, Data protection and other modules.
