Pilot project in Czech Republic makes it easier to use international digital skills certification in schools

A pilot project that allows school leaders to recognise international digital competence certificates has been launched by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport. The project will run for three years and will help improve the level of digital competence education in the Czech Republic.

Headteachers can choose which internationally valid certificates of digital competence can be recognised as part of the school leaving examination. In addition to ICDL, certificates from Autodesk, Cisco, Oracle, and Microsoft fall under the pilot scheme.

More information is available, in Czech, on the Ministry’s website.
