ICDL and Croatian Employment Service project helps unemployed people in Croatia build their digital skills

Despite challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, ECDL Croatia is working to help unemployed people build their digital skills through a project with the Croatian Employment Service. Under the project, 1,400 people will be trained and certified to the ICDL standard. The project, which started in early 2021, has seen 586 people gain ICDL certification to date.

There is a pressing need to raise digital skills in the country, with Croatia ranking low in the EU for digital literacy. This project marks a continuation of work with the Croatian Employment Service, following earlier projects that have seen more than 7,500 unemployed people in Croatia certified with ICDL. The current project will run until the end of 2022 and is funded by the European Union.
